Wine Direct club review

The Winedirct Wine Club is one of the more prestigious clubs. It costs more but also is more in line with the more educated wine drinkers. The Winedirect Wine Club (not to be confused with the similarly name US version, Wine Direct) offers some very interesting combinations of mixed wines in each case. If you prefer either red wine or white wine, you may opt for a case containing only the one type. Each case includes a wine magazine with recipes, tips and tricks, other interesting articles. They offer a unique gift with the introductory offer, a copy of World Atlas of Win, 6th edition. The club also has varying payment options of either annual payment, quarterly payments. The quarterly payments do require a down payment at the time you sign up, but the amount is applied to your last quarter’s payment for the year.

The club offers UK delivery or international delivery. While they do not stock wines they do not feel that can offer competitive prices for purchases, Winedirect does have a database listing more than 30,000 wines. These wines can be purchased upon request when available, but require a bit more communication with Winedirect since they cannot be purchased through the usual online method. Shipping costs are £7 for a case of six bottles, £7.95 for a 12 bottle case, and £7 for each additional case purchased at the same time. The cost of shipping does vary by location, so you will need to read the terms on the website to make a final determination of cost. The Winedirect club has several different plans from which to choose.

The Windedirect Best Buy Club offers international wines in the wine type of your choice or a mix. The cost is £180 for a single quarter, which includes the £50 deposit, with subsequent payments of £130 until the last payment of £80. You can choose to pay for the year at £320.
